The application had relevant questions for the QA Engineer position. Scheduled a phone call and had such a pleasant interview with the QA Manager. I learned a lot about the company. Its core values, culture, the team, and what to expect from the job. After the interview, I got a mini-project.
1st question was to come up with alert solution to manager for any completed task within their app. The more alerts its better. After you setup automation triggers in the app, I had to record a video thru Loom explaining my steps and why choose the method I selected. It took me 3-4 hours to complete this as I am
not a "blogger". I am a tester. The other 2 question were related to priority/severity and evaluating how detail oriented you are by finding errors in a given response. I spent 5-6 hrs over two days to complete this project. Then I got a message from recruiter, I will be contacted for the final round; only to find out thru email after 1.5 days that I am not qualified for the role. I not only meet the qualifications but I exceeded them. It's kind of funny because there really isn't much qualifications to match from their job description!!!
This company waste every candidates time. They are just getting free ideas from different people to improve their apps through this "mini" project!!!
I read these reviews before I had interview with them. But I stayed positive and went through this tedious process which was nothing but wasting time!! I could have spend those hours looking for better opportunity with employer who knows what they want!!
