Cloudera Sales Engineer interview questions

I submitted my resume through Cloudera's website and received a response within a couple of days. The interviewing process was very quick and methodical. Cloudera's hiring manager and recruiting team stated the steps involved with the interviewing process. They quickly answered any questions I had as they wanted me to completely understand what it is like to work at Cloudera. They also asked very good questions as they wanted to make sure that I was a good fit for not only the company, but also the team that I would be working with. I was given the opportunity to interview with a team member so that I could understand what a "day in the life" was on this team. Very positive experience.

Initial contact was very quick and contact was friendly throughout the process. Based on my resume, I was setup for a call with a recruiter and then a technical screening. On my call with the recruiter alone, I was stumped on questions regarding Java. So be really prepared and technical for this pre-sales position. I was surprised as I thought those questions would be asked of a developer or systems engineer, but those are the types of folks they are looking for pre-sales as well. I cancelled the technical screening because I would not have met their requirements and it all ended very amicably.
