I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CoStar Group (Colorado Springs, CO) in Apr 2015
Interview
I had a 20-30 minute phone screen with a recruiter. Then I had a phone screen with a very disrespectful hiring manager. It was a typical phone screen (go thru resume, why are you a good fit?). Then he told me I'm not what they're looking for in this position and told me if I want to be considered for a face to face interview, that I need to put together an information packet on apartments.com, their competitors, benefits, 30-60-90 day plan, etc...
An assignment like this is typical to present at a second interview. It's not okay to ask someone to send this info and if they like it, you might get a face to face interview. I was totally insulted that he even asked me to do this. I can only imagine how he treats his reps!
Costar- if you teach your sales managers to treat candidates like this, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CoStar Group in Apr 2014
Interview
The interview process was very smooth and quick. The interviews were very professional and informative about the company. I did not have to wait longer than anticapated to receive the offer for the job. Much better than other places i had applied.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CoStar Group in Feb 2014
Interview
Several interviews, 1 phone, 1 skype, 2 in person 1 w/ regional in SD, 1 w/ Souther California Regional. I was told that I was hired by both the San Diego Region and the Southern Ca Regional before I talked to the VP of Sales. The entire process was backwards and uncomfortable.
