I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at CoStar Group (Washington, DC) in Apr 2011
Interview
First, you have a phone interview with an HR representative. Asked the standard questions, what do you know about the company, your work history, how do you think you will apply your self to the Research Associate position. I was asked that same day to come in for an interview that Monday afternoon after interviewing Friday afternoon.
Went for the 1:1 interview on Monday afternoon at 3:00 PM. Met with 2 managers for about an hour. They asked the same question about 3 different ways. Asked about work history and how your job relates to the current position.
After meeting with the managers, I sat with an associate for about 20 minutes while the managers discussed how the interview went. From there I was brought down to the VP, and spoke with, ASKED questions about the company and his role. He gave me a tour then escorted me out.
About 15 minutes later, I received a call from the HR department offering me the position.
In closing, the company is young and very modern and they are really starting to expand nation wide.

Extremely lengthy. 4 stages over about 2 months. Panel interview that took 6 hours. One panelist did not show and added another interview stage. Due to length, I found a better offer and declined after finally getting to an offer.
