I recently interviewed for the Director QA role, which appeared to be largely focused on vendor management. The interview process moved quite quickly — I had an initial discussion with the onshore lead (likely the Project Manager), followed by a round with the Account Manager. Both conversations went well and were constructive.
However, after the interviews, communication completely stopped. Despite attempting to follow up via messages and calls, I received no response from the recruiter.
While I understand that priorities shift and hiring decisions can change, professional courtesy in closing the loop — even with a brief update — would have been appreciated. Candidates invest time and effort into preparing for interviews, and transparent communication reflects positively on the organization’s culture.
