      QA Engineer Interview

      Oct 5, 2010
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Framingham, MA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cognex (Framingham, MA) in Sep 2010

      Interview

Had great phone screen with both QA managers for contract to hire; went over my experience and addressed the manager’s skill requirement and they told me they wanted me for face to face. First, I met the HR person; he clarified expectation and company’s policies. Then I met Product Manager who focused on skills required QA responsibility and he had some behavioral questions. I also met the QA manager; seemed very nice, focused questions on testing approach, planning, need for scripting expertise and programing skills I think are big plus. They were kind enough to respond: I was told they needed someone with more programing skills than mine. I think, ideal candidate is a junior programmer looking to do testing and QA engineering.
