College: BIRLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ,MESRA ,RANCHI.
Company : CTS
The process started with the presentation given by the the company.It was an interactive session where we were told about the company's profile , its growth , our role etc.
After the presentation we were told to report to our respective computer labs for the online test.
The test was conducted by Aspiring Minds which consisted of the following sections-
1.Quantitative Section - 14 questions (14 min)
2.Logical Reasoning - 16 questions (16 min)
3.English - 25 questions (25 min)
Over 800 people sat for the online test ,out of which about 400 were shortlisted for the technical and H.R rounds.
The online test was followed by the Technical and H.R interviews of all the shortlisted candidates.
The technical team had 35 panels each for one the shortlisted candidate.
The questions I was asked in the Technical interview were-
1. So tell me something about yourself?
2. Tell me something about style sheets. (As I said Web Designing was my hobby)
3. How would you validate a form on Client Side?
4. What are the advantages of the languages like Java , C++, ASP?
5. What are the subjects you must study in Comp Sc?
6.He then asked about the projects I had worked on .
He was quite impressed by my academic record so he didn't ask to many questions.
The next round that followed was the H.R round.
1.What do you know about Cognizant ? (Listen to the presentation carefully)
2.Why should we hire you?
3.Why did you choose Comp Engg?
4.Do you have any problems in relocation?
5.Any specific technologies you want to work on ?
6.Tell me about yourself?
Around 250 people were selected from my college and I was among them.

This was asked in my H.R round and was quite unexpected.
H.R- I think IBM is visiting your campus in next few days are you applying for it.
(I answered Yes).
H.R -So if you get into IBM and Cognizant which company would you choose?
(I answered Cognizant).
H.R-How can I believe you ,please support your answer?
( I thought about it for a few seconds and replied. He was quite impressed by the answer and the interview finally ended. We shook hands and I left the room )
The assessment test being conducted on personal device was a bad idea. Despite ensuring compatibility of the device, it lagged due to network issues and the secure browser they use for remote assessment logged me out more than once. That significantly reduced the time I got to solve the questions.

I attended campus interview , Starting round was online aptitude followed by communication and coding assessment , the there was a Technical HR interview conducted at our campus. It was overall a average experience.
