I spoke with the recruiter who tried to sell me about the Cognizant brand. He mentioned that I would get a set daily rate regardless of the hours I worked. This means they work people long hours and no OT (who works 5 hours a day?). Their interviews were pretty straight forward, what have I done in my past and what I'm looking to get out of my career. I encountered a few flags that led me declining to move forward. I learned that they have a really poor onboarding process and there's a lack of organization support. Another flag, they wanted me to take an interview call at 5 AM. Why on earth would anyone do that? I wasn't desperate for the position, so we eventually spoke a week later. The guy I spoke with could not sell me on why I should move my career with them vs some of the more prestigious consulting firms out there.
