The process was very streamlined and transparent all the way through. I received an email that allowed me to set up an interview with a Nurse Leader, and I had a variety of days and times to select so it was easy to work around my schedule. The first interview was on Zoom and lasted about 20 minutes. It was a combination discussing my job experience, skills and availability with some basic interview questions related to assessing my nursing judgement and problem solving abilities. I found the person I met with to be very down to earth and kind. I received an email within a week that I had moved to a second interview with a DIrector at the company, and was again able to select the best day and time for my schedule. The was also on Zoom. I found the Director Sheri to be extremely knowledgable and straightforward, but also very down-to earth and easy to talk to. She put me completely at ease and seemed more interested in connecting on a human level than asking me a bunch of technical questions. This really set a tone for my experience at Cohere. I had not been seeking full time as my homeschooling life makes that near impossible. However Sheri was so accommodating and flexible with me, which any mom knows is a RARE find in Healthcare. I still wasn't 100% certain I had the job. I had never done this kind of work before, but I had done some Case Management and Nurse Abstraction work. UR is a tough field to break into as experience is usually required. I was happy HR didn't leave me waiting too long. The HR person I had been in touch with was on vacation, so another person in the department called to let me know I had gotten the job because she "didn't want to leave me hanging." How cool is that?! I have been very happy here. The people I met during my interviews are great examples of the kind of culture at Cohere. I did see the previous reviews on Glassdoor, and so I wanted to wait a few months in case things were not as they appeared. I am happy to share this really is a great place to work.
