Collabera Contract Writer interview questions

Opportunity for a contract position for Harman from Collabera. They vetted me very thoroughly, submitted me for the position after package discussion. Once I was shortlisted, they worked very diligently to insure the client interview went well. Collabera HR team, Finance team spoke to me and finalized the package. I haven't received any offer letter even after a week. After talking to Collabera HR informed as discussion is on in regard to package and told me to wait for their manager call. No call received, after 15 days from interview, I called them and they informed as they couldn't afford for the package and they recruited new candidate. Disgusting!!! No value for time and effort?
