I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Colliers (Vancouver, BC) in Jun 2013
Interview
Hiring process was quite long, with many interviews among various professionals. Everyone was very friendly and polite, asking a range of personality questions along with an occasional technical one focusing on real estate. Overall it was a nice process that allowed you to evaluate the people you would be working with, as well as an evaluation of yourself.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about some technical questions related to real estate - ie. they want to guage how into the market you are and if you know what's going on around town in different markets. So be prepared for questions like, what is the cap rate in this area, or that, etc.
I got a phone call got an over the phone interview with a member of the team. They called me at the appointed hour and asked questions about my experience, past employment, etc.
4 interviews, met them at lunch was casual conversation, 1 couldn't make it so i did the other interview in the office, nothing too technical. Not a bad process. Discussed resume, experience, what my value is to the team.
The interview was straightforward and not complicated. Just three interviews; one with the recruiter, one with the manager, and one with the client. I was offered a position and accepted it.
