Rudest recruiter I’ve experienced in my lifetime. It was the first interview (phone screening), I work in HR so I know how these things go. The recruiter asked me questions to understand my background and why I’m looking for a job, he asked me about the salary expectations within 5 mins of the call which is quite unusual to ask someone before understanding their skills or background before. My expectations were higher then his budget, which is fine. However his reply was that he does not want to waste time. I clearly stated I’d like to still explore the opportunity as for me the comp is not the main driver. He replied again that he thinks it will not be a match as I’m asking too much. HR leadership: investigate your team and their methods as you will lose talent with this type of behaviour.
