This was the worst interview I have had in my life because interviewers were not prepared to interview me, showing me that the ambiance at Corgan is ordinary and negative.
During the interview, one interviewer was in the conference room with me, and another one phoning in. It seemed clear that they did not read my resume beforehand, neither seen my samples of portfolio. Then the one in the room wanted me to flip through the portfolio for him. Half way through he was falling asleep, rolling his eyes to try to keep them open and holding his head with his right hand to keep his head up.
Having a person join in for the interview via phone was inadequate for an Architectural interview, as it was arranged for me to showcase my resume, portfolio and construction document drawings. She was not asking questions regarding my work, and did not provide much more to the conversation other than a yeeaahhh and mmmmhhhh.
I have never been in this kind of situation where someone is falling asleep and an another one phoning in for an architectural interview. It felt horrible, I got more nervous and upset from their lack of respect as I was showing them how prepared I was.
I was enthusiastic and happy to be there, but I believe it takes the interviewer and the interviewee to be equally enthusiastic to find out more about each other, and to explain to each other what they do and how they could potentially work together.
I declined a second interview because of this experience.
