I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Corning (Hickory, NC) in Oct 2015
Interview
Initial screening was via a series of recruiters who seemed genuinely interested in identifying whether you were a good fit before you get to the actual company representatives. From there an admin lined up a discussion with the hiring manager. We had a great chat and hit it off immediately; a couple weeks later I was brought in for a battery of interviews with six or seven different people who I'd be working with, and then four or five more interviews with upper management who all seemed to want to know if I'd be a "good fit". Once you go to work here, you tend to stay a long time, so they put a lot of effort into vetting you to see if it's a place where you'll succeed, and where you'll help the team effort. It took four months to get the offer ultimately which I thought was excessive, but they made me understand what was taking so long in the end, and I was willing to wait as it was a job I was made to do.
