Couchbase interview questions

As I was remote, interviews were by phone, coordinated by emails. I had interviews with several technical people - developers and architects - which went well. They were very positive about my knowledge of database architectures. It seemed they wanted to hire me, and as a last step they wanted me to interview with the newly hired development manager. He didn't seem to know much about databases, so concentrated on low level coding and performance in Java. I hadn't worked in Java for over a year due to a pivot in the company I worked for, as I explained to him, so that interview did not go well and I did not get an offer.

I had a couple phone screens over two weeks or so. Person I was in contact with added me on a business networking site. Spoke to the head of my department on the phone and was told I would hear back. But then silence. I never heard back.
