I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Credit Acceptance (Detroit, MI) in Jan 2012
Interview
Long process, and several stages, but worth it in the long run. They are really trying to get it right, so interviewing is with several different levels of management, and includes personality profile, interviews, and drug testing. Auto industry experience is definitely helpful, but not mandatory. It also helps to do your research on the company and know the product, as thet seemed to be looking for ability to research and preparedness.

Short, easy. It was apparent that the person who interviewed me already had someone else in mind. Kind of cold feeling and it felt like they had to give the interview.

Interview
The interview process for the Market Area Manager role at Credit Acceptance, guided by Jordan Frank, was smooth and well-structured. Jordan walked me through each step, promptly answering questions and keeping communication clear throughout.
The entire team was transparent about the goals and expectations of the position, which greatly aided my preparation. Knowing what was expected helped me tailor my responses and prepare effectively for each stage.
Overall, a positive and well-organized experience. If you’re considering applying, you can expect clear guidance from the recruiter and a collaborative, goal-focused panel.
If you’d like, I can tailor the tone (more formal, more concise, or more detailed) or add specific examples from your experience.
