I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Criteo (Paris) in Mar 2017
Interview
I've got 6 interviews in total:
#1 interview by phone,
#2 on site for some informal discussion to see if culturally the fit was there and to discuss about the relevancy to enter a more "formal process"
#3/4/5/6 on site interviews:
#3 Coding
#4 System design/architecture
#5 Project management/team management
#6 Motivation & cultural fit
Good interview level. I was expecting harder ones (for the #3 at least) but it was not easy either. Very good contact with the interviewers, the goal is not to trap you but rather to have a good view on your skills, knowledge and personality. Interviews are also structured so that you can ask questions to interviewers and make yourself a deeper opinion of the company.
The scope of the job was not extremely detailed but this is normal for this level of responsibility and I liked it. Instead of proposing a box into which you have to fit, the idea is more to see where and how you can help the teams progress.
Good point is the recruiter who follows you during the whole hiring process, providing you support, advices and ensuring that all questions you might have are answered throughout all the steps.
Long story short, definitely a good interview experience and a great company!
