Second call: video call with hiring manager
The recruiter screening was pretty standard - tell me about your background, why you’re interested in this role, and a broad questions related to marketing campaigns.
My call with the hiring manager was two days after the recruiter screening. This interview was focused on my experience creating and executing campaigns - a lot of “why” and “how” to dig more into my strategy and thinking. Hiring manager took extra time to connect with me, which I very much appreciated.
Over the weekend, the team decided to change the role to a more senior role so I was unfortunately not a fit. But I received constructive feedback that was well thought out and positive.
Overall I had a pleasant experience because the people are great, they truly care, and they were very transparent and communicative throughout my candidacy. I’m excited to see where the company goes and I’ll gladly interview again for a future role!
