I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crunch Fitness (San Diego, CA) in Jul 2017
Interview
Interview involved me discussing my experience, certification, and then taking the interviewer through a workout and listening to their feedback afterwards. The interviewer was very nice and it didn't feel high pressure. They were impressed by the workout I created on the spot as it involved mobilization, warm-up, and then a short, high-intensity crossfit style workout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What certification for personal training do you currently have and when did you get it?
Apparently, it is an extremely competitive environment. The interview felt like an investigation. They are expecting someone to spend the whole day at the gym, even though I apply as a part-time trainer.
