I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Cummins (Columbus, IN) in Oct 2020
Interview
Interview process was extremely long. Initially talked to them at a career fair in September. Then I didn’t hear back until mid-October for the first round of interviews which by that point I thought I had bombed it. Yet, I got a second interview the first week of November which went good again. By late November I still hadn’t heard back from them and I was interviewing with another company which made me an offer. They asked if they could have a couple of weeks to get back to me and potentially make me an offer. The HR department contacted me, one of the previous interviewers contacted me, and it was looking like a very promising outlook to get an offer. Finally, it wasn’t until mid-December that they finally said they didn’t need a chemical engineer. Nothing wrong with that though I felt like there was some serious miscommunication along the chain.

Question 1
Tell us about a time you had to deal with diversity?
Why do you want to work at Cummins?
Talk to me through a process that you were part from beginning to end?
The whole hiring process took about a month. It started with a short screeing call from an external recruiting agent and followed by a telephonic technical round and later a group technical round at their office in Pune. After that there was a HR round. They have communicated about the final offer after a week gap. Overall it was a good experience and everyone was professional
