I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DC Public Schools (Washington, DC) in Jan 2014
Interview
Like others, I applied online. I then completed a phone interview, was called in for an in-person interview, but made it to the final rounds. Interview questions were your basic run-of-the mill questions. In fact, your interviewer may even stare at their computer screen while you talk. The overall attitude is "you should feel honored to be here and that we even called you."
I applied through other source. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at DC Public Schools in Jun 2021
Interview
Process was smooth and fairly quick for a government agency—hiring manager stayed in contact every step of the way. From the first notification from the hiring manager to an offer took about 7 weeks. Included performance task, and two interviews.

Interview
I have interviewed for a few coordinator/specialist positions and have done over 8 different tasks and countless interviews but I have not once been provided a courtesy email after all that from the hiring manager and the team I have interviewed l letting me know they went with someone else. We are all adults here please provide that courtesy. I personally spent a lot of time and energy completing the tasks and completing multiple interviews ( while working a full time job), I get it sometimes people do not fit, doesn’t mean they do not deserve a “thank you for your time but we have decided to go with someone that fit the role better”. Besides that seems like it is a really difficult place to get hired. In regards to the interview itself, everyone has been really nice and the interview process itself was not difficult. Time space can be a few weeks. Competed phone interview, tasks, and group interview.

Question 1
They always start with tell us about yourself, strengths, what have you done with mistakes in the past, and specific role related questions.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at DC Public Schools
Interview
Lengthy and thorough. There was a written component prior to the in-person interview. First in-person was a panel interview. Second interview was with two people (the hiring manager and her manager). Then an offer was extended.

Question 1
There was a question very specific to the position and while I had transferrable skills, it was a difficult one to answer.
