I was contacted directly by the recruiter, Bernadette, who had found my professional profile on a social network. We had a first phone conversation, after which she passed on my profile to the people who were the most likely to be interested in my skills.
In the following couple of days I had two more phone interviews, after which I was invited for a full day at the company's offices near Paris, France. There I had 5 more in-person interviews. Bernadette managed the whole process and made sure that I met with people working in all relevant technical roles. They were all free-format interviews, mixing talks on technical topics with hobbies, interests and anything else that came up.
That interview day was followed by internal discussions and administrative processes, and within less than two weeks I was offered the job. Altogether the whole process took less than a month.
All through the process Bernadette, who acted as my point of contact, was very supportive and highly available for questions and orientation. I had excellent visibility over what was happening at all times, and was never left waiting and wondering whether I'd get an answer. Compared to my previous experiences, the recruitment process was fast, smooth and better than most.
