      Dialysis Patient Care Technician Interview

      Sep 22, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Baltimore, MD
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DaVita (Baltimore, MD) in Aug 2020

      Interview

When you apply, you’ll have to do an assessment. This assessment determines whether you’ll be a right fit for DaVita. After the assessment, I’ll say about a week-3 or 4 months, you’ll receive a phone interview request. You’ll schedule your phone interview with the recruiter. If they decide they like you, you move to the next step. The next step is a panel interview with the regional director (the person who oversees the region you applied for) and three facility administrators (one will be your boss if they think you’re a fit for their clinic). The one that asks the most questions is the one that will most likely hire you. If you pass this interview, you then will receive an email in about two weeks or so to come in for your orientation. At the orientation, you can wear whatever is comfortable for you. Opt out of sweatpants lol. But at your orientation, you meet your teammates and your FA (one of the people that were there during your panel interview). You’ll also receive a tour of the clinic, break room, lockers, get the codes for every room necessary.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you think you’ll be a good fit? What are your expectations? Are you okay with starting work as early as 4:30am? How’s the commute? How did you learn about us? Do you have experience in patient care? (This could also be answered by your experience in customer service) Tell me about a time when you felt you were overwhelmed and how did you handle it?”

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DaVita (El Paso, TX) in Sep 2023

      Interview

Recruiter reached to me two weeks after I submitted my application. I was scheduled for a phone screening with him but he opted out of that and it ended up just being more informational about the role. Two primary questions he asked were about my bioscience BA and whether I was pursuing jobs in that field. Also asked about my availability. After phone screen there is an on site/ clinic interview with hiring manager. I got a call back within 48 hours to set final interview with regional manager.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Tell me about yourself. 2. What did you enjoy most about your clinical externship. What was most challenging. 3. What do you know about dialysis

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DaVita (Crown Point, IN) in Mar 2023

      Interview

I had an interview with this company about a week and a half ago and they said they'll give me a callback within a week to let me know if they decided anything, but I've never received a call from them. So at this point I'm like should I give them a call back because I don't want to seem like I'm desperate for the job even though that job opportunity would allow me to care for others.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Would being around blood and fluid bother you and what make you want to work with this company.
