1. Applied in response to a posting on LinkedIn.
2. Three phone interviews over a period of several weeks.
3. On-site interview at the Warren, MI plant, which was a full day consisting of:
a. attending a daily management meeting on the plant floor
b. two phone interviews conducted from the Warren plant to speak with a high-level employee in Mexico and his colleague in Louisville, KY
c. face-to-face interviews with three people, two of whom I had already spoken with in the phone screens preceding the onsite interview.
4. I received feedback during the onsite interview that the company liked me the best out of the three candidates they brought onsite. Though I felt honored to receive such a compliment, it did not translate into an offer. As a matter of fact, the company stopped communicating with me. They never did formally acknowledge my standing in the selection process after I returned home from the onsite interview, despite me sacrificing 3 days of my time for the onsite interview (I traveled from Texas to Michigan for the interview). It has been 8 weeks since my onsite interview and the silence continues.
