      Senior Manager Interview

      Apr 23, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Databricks in Mar 2022

      Interview

Went thru a 3rd party recruiter but was not treated any differently. The team and panel were great. All super nice, smart, and had great discussions about the role and company. They are really looking for not only a culture fit, but someone with the background to really guide the rocketship ride they are on to the next level.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is your plan in the next 90 days if you are hired? What happened on a project that you would go back and change or do differently after implementation?

      Interview

The recruiter said in an initial phone screen that the process would be 8-10 interviews and 2 presentations over the course of 5-6 weeks. I said no thank you. This amount of interviews to make a decision is shocking.

      Senior Manager Interview

      Feb 9, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Sydney
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Sydney) in Dec 2021

      Interview

The process is easy and the people you talk to are all lovely, they are multiple 30 min chats with each one focusing in on a topic eg cultural, technical, peer etc. you don’t get feedback after each interview nor at the end of the initial 6 interviews. I found the recruiting team to be unable to communicate once they have pushed you into the process. I received a generic rejection email from the recruiter after 3 hours of interviews which is a bad ending to what was an enjoyable process. It would be much more helpful to be provided with some insights on where you fell short and where you excelled.

      Question 1

How do you identify and deal with conflict in the team or broader teams?
