This is my second experience being warmly recruited by a Databricks hiring manager, and then turned down by a panel. A third party watching the Zoom interview observed that the panelists were mostly "very high-strung." Recruiter and recruiting coordinator gave no idea what to expect – which turned out to be very mechanical, "templated" questions without much human element. Oddly, they didn't look at (or even request) past work samples, or set up a technical assessment.
