Just wanted to share my recent onsite Interview experience and the culture of databricks. I feel you can get a good sense of the culture of a company by seeing how they treat their candidates. I went through an onsite interview (which was of average difficulty) and felt I did good overall. Immediately following the interviews, the recruiter called and also mailed saying the feedback looks positive and should have an update in 1-2 days.
However, I never heard back from them. Not only that, they stopped replying to my email, phone or text messages (in fact in the email I was encouraged to reach on phone for anything)
Also, I think this is not an isolated incident. I have heard from others as well that Databricks has a tendency to ghost candidates. This is extremely disrespectful. I would advise them to have the guts to send a rejection email atleast.
Overall, my feedback would be to stay away from this company. I guess they would be treating their employees as well like this.
