I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
The process was very smooth and tech recruiter was very responsive at first, but things got really confusing at the end. The process of getting a proper “no” was not direct.
I was contacted via LinkedIn to schedule a phone screening with the tech recruiter and she was so nice. I moved onto the next step of the interview with a tech lead and that went really well I thought. I was then given the take-home exercise which was basically to figure out how to use their product and write documentation of my experience. In addition to that, you can to pick two mock troubleshooting questions by clients. Both fair enough to gauge a candidate’s capabilities.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Datadog (Paris)
Interview
I had a very disappointing experience with Datadog's recruitment process. After making it to the final round for a Solutions role, I later learned that recruiters had contacted former colleagues at my current company to ask for feedback about me. This information made its way back internally, putting my current job at risk. Not only is this highly unprofessional, but it also raises serious confidentiality concerns. I would caution candidates to be aware of this before applying.

I applied online. I interviewed at Datadog (Amsterdam) in Oct 2024
Interview
It had 4 phases: HR, HM, Tech Assessment, Panel.
The tech assessment was made with an online platform, and it was really simple.
In the panel I had to talk about a topic where I was good technically and the interviewers acted like customers making questions etc (be really prepared on that). They payed me all the travel expenses since this last one was face-to-face
