I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dillard's in Mar 2011
Interview
I applied for a position and I had a brief interview with the assistant store manager. The next day, I received a call back from the store manager, who said based on my qualifications, I'm qualified but all new hires must work as a sales associate for six months BEFORE I could be promoted to an area manager. Nevermind I was a store manager at my previously job.I had an additional interview with the head of the womens shoe department and was offered a position and was told I had the potential to make my previous salary until I was promoted.r

Question 1
What is most important, completing a task or assisting a customer?
Very unorganized, no one knew what the other managers were doing. Norma the shoe manger was a nasty person and doesn’t like caucasians. Very back stabbing & they treat sales associates like trash.
I was heavily recruited. It was a smooth process. It consisted of 2 interviews. It was consistent with other retailers. The questions were answered and it was inviting . That’s all I have to say about my experience at Dillards
