I got a schedule request to speak with the hiring manager as an initial phone screen. After that I was given a take home project that the recruiter suggested I spend 6 hours on. It ended up taking me the entire weekend perfecting my deck. I was given a large data set and asked to solve 3 problems using the data. After that I was invited to two back to back 45min interviews with team members. This round was case centered where they asked you multiple scenarios and asked you what metrics you'd use or how you would tackle the issue. They also asked behavioral questions. One interview was more qualitative while the other one asked technical questions (no math). I was not asked about my project during these interviews or given the opportunity to present. A couple days later I received a standard rejection email. No response for my request for feedback.
I've interviewed at multiple tech companies and DoorDash has been the best. All the interviewers were friendly and engaging and the recruiter remained in communication about next steps. It would have been nice to receive feedback as I dedicated a lot of time to DoorDash's interview process but overall it was a positive experience.

First a screening call with HR, then a take home analytical test, followed by two virtual panel interview rounds with 2-3 people each round. Some of the interviews were behavioral and some were analytical.

Interview
Had a recent interview process that started off fine but ended up feeling like a waste of time. The initial phone screen with the recruiter was positive (straightforward, professional, and gave me a good sense of the role).
But the hiring manager interview was… odd. They gave a quick rundown of the position, asked me one question (“tell me about your background”), and that was pretty much it. No real follow-up, no questions about my relevant experience, and no opportunity to actually talk about what I could bring to the role. It didn’t feel like a real interview - more like a box they had to check.
So I wasn’t surprised to hear I wasn’t moving forward. Just disappointed that there wasn’t any meaningful conversation or engagement. Felt like a missed opportunity all around.
