I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash in Apr 2021
Interview
Overall a very long and painful process interviewing at DoorDash. Most interviewers were kind and engaging. The recruiters were quick to communicate and helped move me through the process. I had one awful interview with a regional manager who was disinterested, and just grilled me for 30 minutes. I was really disappointed to make it to the last round only then to receive an automated no reply email informing me that DoorDash would not be moving forward with an offer. After that many rounds, it would mean so much to applicants to simply give them a call or personalized email briefly explaining why they were rejected and thanking them for their time...
Interview Process:
- 1:1 Hiring Manager: Conversational, go over resume and job
- Analytics Case Study: Took me around 6 hours to complete. Provided with a large dataset and asked to create business recommendations based on your analysis.
- 2 back to back interviews with Ops Managers from different markets: Go over resume, and asked basic interview questions
- 1:1 Recruiter: Confirm pay scale, benefits, and stock offerings
- 3 back to back interviews with Regional Managers: Situational based case questioning. I had one interviewer who was not interested and just grilled me with tons of fake scenario based questions. What would you do if?
- 1:1 Director: Conversational

I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2025
Interview
After one week, I received a call and had a phone interview. The questions focused on my experience in operations, the improvements I had achieved in my previous role, how I believed I could contribute to the company, and how I manage work teams. The interview lasted around 15 minutes, and about three days later I received an email informing me that I would not continue in the process. However, no feedback was provided; I was told that it was not possible to share feedback from the interview, which I found somewhat strange because if they do not explain what was missing, it is difficult to know how to improve.
Ghosted after 3 rounds...
- Initial HR screening call
- Excel analysis: 48 hours to complete some analysis on a set of data. It's completely open-ended so you can do as much or as little as you want, but I obviously spent quite a bit of time on it since I wanted to impress and wasn't sure what would be considered bare minimum vs. above and beyond.
- Hiring manager interview: standard background and behavioural questions
- 2 back to back 30min calls with a strategy lead and an ops lead, again standard background and behavioural questions
I thought all rounds went very well, very engaging conversations, I thought I made a good impression all around and was pretty confident I would make it through. Spent a lot of time researching and preparing while juggling current job. All to be completely ghosted after multiple follow-ups :)
Extremely disappointed and frustrated to say the least. I would be completely understanding if I were sent a note saying they were moving forward with another candidate but they couldn't even be bothered to spend the 2 mins. Not sure if HR realizes these are real people with real life impacts.

Interview
Applied online got a call from recruiter , screening call. Took home test to sort through data, then crickets never heard back. Horrible process, recruiter ghosted me , never called back for feedback or even rejection letter. I crossed them out of my list of potential employer.
