The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash
Interview
Interview process was long, but understandably thorough. I really enjoyed getting to know the team… until I got to a man who was in a more senior position. He seemed unamused from the jump, and clearly had not taken the time to review my resume. One of the first questions he asked was a very technical question based on a footnote on my resume. Yikes. He was passively listening and visibly seemed bored with my answers. I figured he was not impressed when he asked me “how do you feel about diversity” (?!) and “why did you change jobs so much?” instead of anything about my experience related to the role. Also, as a tip, don’t ask someone why they changed jobs when they didn’t reach out to you - your own recruiter contacted them and they accepted the interview. I tried not to laugh when he asked that, because it would have very awkward to say “yeah, you called me”.
Left a very poor taste in my mouth and I feel for the people who have to work with this person. Also makes me question the leadership there with someone like that in a senior position.
