Initial call with market developer- was just told about the position and very briefly asked about my past experience. 15 minute call. The next step is an analytic test ( takes about 6 hours) followed by 4 google hangouts where they test you on how you respond to situations etc. Very analytical.

Second Interview was an analytic test where they give you a set of data from a month of operations and you are asked to tell them how to improve their business operations (it's a ton of data- takes about 6 hours).

Other General Manager Interview Reviews for DoorDash
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at DoorDash (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
This was by far the worst interview process I have ever been through. The company insisted on scheduling multiple interviews and then proceeded to either not show up to the interview or rescheduling last minute. It was disorganized and there didn’t seem to be communication amongst any of the folks between interviews. The process took almost two months and I interviewed with over 10 people. Half of the interview panel was interesting and the other half was either their first interview hosting ever or were generally not excited about hosting an interview. I received a decline by email. I would hope that after 10 interviews with a candidate you would at least call them and decline. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Lots of generic- tell me about how you solved a complex problem questions.
Very long and convoluted. It was probably about 6 interviews plus a project and a presentation to a panel of 5 people. They would let weeks pass between each round, so it felt a little bit about starting over each time. I've heard similarly bad experiences from other people.

Question 1
Assume that a given city isn't performing well: revenue and deliveries are falling. What are 5 areas you would want to look into to figure out why that is happening? Then dig into each area with specific questions.
Had a call with the recruiter. Answered basic questions about my background and interest in the role. It wasn't a very deep discussion - seemed like their process focused on getting people to the next stage which was a take-home test. I decided not to proceed.
