Applied online, had a short telephonic interview and then received an invitation for the assessment center in Terneuzen, Netherlands approximately 1 month after the online application.
A welcome dinner was followed by the Assessment activities next day which consisted of three 2:1 interviews, case study presentation and a group discussion.
Interviews:
Competency based interviews of 20 min each comprising of general HR type questions for e.g. why supply chain, describe a time you failed as a leader and what did you learn etc.
Case study:
A supply chain improvement case study comprising of information about a hypothetical chemical company which wants to expand to South America and Asia Pacific. In 20 min time, improvement areas needed to be identified based on the given information and then presented to a panel of 2 SCM professionals. Some followup questions were also asked.
Group discussion:
A hypothetical situation in which the company wants to internally recruit 1 person for a rotational program and each member was assigned a candidate with all his/her credentials to defend. In the end, a candidate needed to be identified and presented to the panel within the given time. The panel observed the whole discussion.
