I never talked to the co.pany HR. Team lead called me and said "its not a formal interview" and started firing technical questions (round 1). After the informal call, i was told that ther will be first technical round next day, and second guy (who works for guy#1 called me on time for the technical round(round #2). There was no email communication so far. Few minutes after the round 2, guy#1 called again that it was a positive interview and would like to further proceed with a second technical round (round 3) right away without any prior reservation/appointment. During this call salary was also discussed(negotiated) but, this was supposed to be discussed later with HR(if there is one). I got a call from external consultant, who was riding some vehicle as i could hear more background noise than her voice. She scheduled an interview(round 4). When i asked if it was for the same role i was in talks for, she denied and said it is a new opportunity. Interview was for Monday next week as per email, however it occured on the Friday before. I asked the interviewer if it was for the same role as earlier and he told me it for the same role i was in talks for and is the next round. I was totally pissed because of the extreme unprofessionalism of the people working at EXL and the external HR consultant. After this I decided not to follow up, although i had the salary already negotiated.
A common behavior i observed in all the interviewers, they stress upon only the particular topic which you are not confident about. Even though i mentioned multiple times that this particular thing is some thing i haven't worked upon or something i never cam through, they wont stop asking it again and again until you lie like a professional and say you are expert at it. I felt these questions were utter waste of time, 70% of the interview was interviewer repeating the question word by word and me replying "I don't know this particular thing, can we please move ahead" until i gave some gibrish
