I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edelman Financial Engines (Philadelphia, PA) in Nov 2015
Interview
A Talent Acquisition Recruiter from CA scheduled a phone appointment about their Financial Planner opening which was posted on the CFP Board's Career Center. The conversation was all about developing a book of business from scratch and how you are compensated through one time financial planning fees, commission on insurance sales and AUM. It was all about sales which I thought was misleading given the position is for a Financial Planner..
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interviewer kept asking me how much I was currently making. When I finally gave her a range, she indicated there is a draw program and a maximum range they can work with. Nothing but sales questions!
