I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company
Interview
The hiring process moved fairly quickly. Was contacted within a couple days of applying for a phone screen with 2 managers. A couple days later and I was invited to interview in-person. It was a 3 hour interview, meeting with a total of 7 people over that time period. They use the STAR based interview method (tell me about a time.....). It was an exhausting day, but everyone was very nice.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you took a calculated risk and how did it work out?
First round interview- had 30 mins of STAR behavioural questions. A little more difficult than expected, but not bad. 2 Panelists who were quite nice and answered my questions effectively.

Question 1
- Could you describe a time where you were able to establish rapport with a person others referred to as difficult, how did you form a relationship?
Everyone was very pleasant and process only took a few weeks. I think they need to coach their managers on conducting interviews. It was very stop/start and unnatural. Jumping from question to question like reading from a script. And very robotic. Was difficult to build rapport and puts you on edge for the interview. You don’t get a proper idea of someone’s personality that way and for a company so obsessed with Team Lilly culture you would expect determining culture fit would be important

Question 1
Why Lilly? STAR questions - tell me about a time when…. etc
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Eli Lilly and Company in Mar 2020
Interview
Process was quick, organized and efficient. All interviews were scheduled remotely at 4 separate days and times, due to ongoing pandemic. Interviews were conducted panel style with 3-4 interviewers in attendance. Recruiter and each team will review the next steps and when you should expect a decision. Everyone was nice and very professional, although you may have to follow up with the recruiter to close the communication loop regarding post interview decisions as the recruiter did not follow up as initially stated. Appears to be a great company, moving to diversify their employee base, and offer great benefits!

Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Name 3 things you like or dislike about your job or that you look for in a job. Name 3 reasons for choosing Eli Lilly. A lot of situational questions, for example tell me about a time you had to develop a rapport with a challenging team member and how you worked through it.
