The first interview (remote) felt like an interrogation than an interview, with questions relevant to choosing to complete degrees if I wanted to practice law. Cold & unwelcoming.
The job description contained irrelevant information, including responsibilities relating to Health & Safety responsibilities, which require an engineering certification.
The second interview was even worse. I was asked to travel to the location in site (i.e. travel countries), without offer to compensate for expenses. When I arrived at the location, I was told I was an hour late, which is incorrect. It turned out the hiring manager scheduled it to UAE timing not KSA timing.
The same questions were mostly repeated in the first and second interview, with the Finance Manager explaining that HSE means 'wanting to go home safe to his family.' He mainly asked a question and then zoned out on his laptop without even eye contact or asking follow up questions.
They didn't even offer me the chance to ask follow up questions.
Not to my surprise, they did not even bother sending a follow up rejection email. After following up myself, they sent a standard rejection.
By far, my worst recruitment experience. The team in UAE/KSA definitely does not uphold the standards of a 'global market leader'
