I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Emerson (Saint Louis, MO) in Jun 2015
Interview
Two rounds. The first round they came to campus and do one on one interview with students selected to the interview. Then they invited some of us go to St. Louis to do the second round interview. It lasted about a month between the two rounds.
I applied online. I interviewed at Emerson (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2022
Interview
First phone screening with the HRBP. Second round was an interview panel of 3 additional interviews with different people of the team. They asked very standard HR questions regarding problem solving, social media recruitment strategies and employer branding practices. The interviews went well but then they ghosted me for 3 weeks. Nobody likes to hear bad news after doing 4 interviews with a company but I personally think that ghosting someone is way worse than giving them clear information on where the interview process stands. I emailed them multiple times for feedback and never received an email back until 3 weeks later. They care less about candidate experience. During the interview process they also mentioned that they are having troubles with finding good candidates for their engineering openings, but if they treat every candidate how they treated me I understand why they are having troubles finding the right fit.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Emerson (Florham Park, NJ) in Jan 2016
Interview
Met with 3 individuals, the recruiter, a manager in HR and my manager. It was mainly a behavioral based interview session, lots of questions in order to get an overall impression of you. Nothing unusual and they each made me feel incredibly calm during the process. No panel interview but it may be different for other positions.
