After submitting my application, I found out that the HR representative had “lost” my CV for about three weeks before finally reaching out. I had an interview with her where I answered all questions very well, but she kept asking for more detailed explanations about my current job — which is in the automotive field. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem to understand anything about the industry, so I’m not sure why she insisted on detailed explanations about things like ECUs or converters. Those questions didn’t really reveal any soft skills, and the discussion became somewhat pointless.
I stayed polite and explained everything as best as I could. Then, after an entire month, I received a call saying they were ready to move forward with the technical interview. By that time, I had already accepted another job offer, and the HR representative seemed genuinely surprised.
To put it simply — good candidates don’t stay available for long. The company should work on improving the efficiency and professionalism of their recruitment process.
