I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Encore Global (Atlanta, GA) in May 2023
Interview
After arriving the wait before the interview was about 30-45 minutes long and the interview itself was only about 15 minutes. I thought the interview went well and had no complaints. The interviewer was incredibly friendly and the questions were both relevant and easy. However, 7 days later they call me back and lowball me on both pay and hours. In the interview it was pretty much promised that I would be full-time at 17/hr but then over the phone they said I can only do part-time at 16, and when I asked what happened to 17 they blatantly lied and said 16 is the highest they can offer unless you're a lead tech. From the impression I got during the interview, I didn't ask for enough with 17/hr with how quickly the interviewer said you'll get that easily, and on top of that 2 of my friends with less experience than me that applied a month before were both started at 17/hr. I accepted the position anyway because I'm pretty much desperate for work right now but if you don't like being lied to and lowballed in interviews I'd go elsewhere.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Q: Why did you choose this company? Q: How did you hear about us? Q: What's your experience in hospitality and customer service? Q: Which role were you looking to have? Q: What's your experience with audio and A/V equipment? Q: Why did you first get into audio?
The interview process depends on which location you're being interviewed. It is a large company and there are many locations. They have you record a video of yourself answering questions. After the video interview, you will either be contacted to be interviewed again, or you won't. If you are, an interview is conducted in person. Your knowledge of A/V isn't as important as your work ethic, willingness to learn, and personality.

Question 1
What is your previous experience? Have you ever been a technician? What is your experience working with clientele?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Encore Global (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2023
Interview
Very easy. A little bit too much, I mentioned I'm dipping my toes into video production and they put me as an Intermediate (I don't recall the specific term) A/V Tech. I think this is slightly alarming.
