They asked me to go to Rome for interview (at that time I lived in Italy and they didn't reimburse me). After I waited about 45 minutes in the corridor, the HR came and apologized for being late. After the usual HR questions (strength, weakness, where do you see yourself in 5 years etc). I had one of the most ridiculous technical interviews you can think of. The interviewer asked me a bunch of very technical questions like "diameter of pipes in a power plant", "by how many degrees can a power plant raise the temperature of a river used for cooling"...he wanted accurate answers (like 2 degrees was wrong because apparently it is three degrees). After a few questions like that I was dismissed. Overall, a very disappointing experience, especially considering that I was called in for a research position and I was asked questions that had nothing to do with it. I figured they already had the candidate they wanted but, by law, they have to interview at least X many people.
