      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI)

      Interview

I appreciated the open nature of the interview process and how they highlighted just how good of an opportunity they provide in terms of relocation and training. This employer also does a great job of creating a process that fits the applicant's schedule while having an in-depth skills assessment.

      Interview

They send an online assessment initially and set your up for a phone screening regardless of how you do on the oa. Phone screening is a simple chat with an developer. Then if you pass you get invited for the final interview which is a series of interviews. From what I remember it was introduction to the company, introduction to the role, case study interview, technical interview, then behavioral interview with your HR rep. Case study is super simple, behavioral is more casual than formal, technical 1 question, average lc medium.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Epic (Verona, WI) in Apr 2025

      Interview

There is an initial phone screen for about 30-45 minutes in which the interviewer explains the role and asks you some questions about your recent work experience and technical projects. After the phone screening, you need to take a technical assessment online. There was 3 stages - a math/logic MCQ section, coding MCQ section using a unique coding language, and coding whiteboard section with 4 problems. For the whiteboard section, you were able to choose which programming language to use along with psuedocode - there was no way to compile or run your code so I assume the focus was on how you implemented a solution.

      Question 1

Walk us through a recent technical project and the challenges you faced when implementing it.
