What I ran into with Equifax HR was not an interview, but a scam. After I applied for the position online, their recruiter called me and left a voicemail, without leaving her phone number. I emailed their HR department (had a hard time obtaining their email address, because most of their employees were uncooperative), and they eventually gave me this woman's contact information. I emailed her several times, and left two voicemails on her phone, but she never replied. She called me again later, and again failed to leave her phone number. Five days go by, and I get a rejection letter from Equifax, saying that they were passing on my candidacy, because they "did not hear from me". This is an outright lie, since I was in contact with their HR staff, and they were the ones avoiding communication. So, then I opened a case with the Better Business Bureau, but could not get an explanation from the company. Apparently, they just call people up to waste their time, without any serious intention of hiring them.
