Interview
First thing, you have to do a regular interview with questions, I was interviewed by the store manager and the manager for the district - next you have to do a "design layout" so they can test your design skills, and you pull things from different parts of the showroom to create a vinette and to also draw a floor plan while being timed. Be sure to set some time aside for all of this.
An initial phone call to touch base and ask some generic questions about work history and experience, and then a Skype/Zoom interview to go more in-depth on requirements and abilities.
