Etsy Data Scientist interview questions

One of the best interview experience I had. The interview process took about 3 weeks. Recruiter reached out to me a day after I submitted my application. (Thumbs up for that!), and then follow by a few rounds of interview 1. HR Phone Screen: asking mostly about my background/experience 2. Hiring Manager: talk about experience, case study, medium level technical test 3. Final onsite competency interview: full day interview with 4 different person. You can expect case study, technical question and behavioral questions to gauge your work style and how you will interact with stakeholders. I was intimidated by the previous Glassdoor interview reviews saying people ghosting them, but it wasn't the case at all. Everyone is super responsive and always keep the candidate in the loop. Little Easter Egg: After onsite interview, they will send you an Etsy gift card if you complete a survey to provide feedback of the interview process. I can tell they take hiring seriously and always try to improve candidate's experience. The positive and supporting vibe I got is one of the reason why I choose to accept the offer.

Terrible interview experience with the recruiter. The recruiter asked standard questions about background and spoke about the role and the team. Everything went well and she said she will reach out to me in a couple of days regarding next steps and it has been 3 weeks and i have not received a single email. Since there was no direct email address, and i was contacted through the smartrecruiter site, I couldn't follow up directly. So I decided to follow up through LinkedIn since it was an exciting role and I did not want to miss the opportunity. Funny thing is, the recruiter connected with me on LinkedIn, saw my follow up messages and still chose not to provide me with any update!!! Piece of advice to the recruiter. Don't waste candidates' time for whatever reason. Positive or negative feedback, give in a timely fashion. I know times are crazy and everyone's busy. But so are the candidates.
