I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Etsy (New York, NY) in Apr 2022
Interview
Quick response from the recruiter after applying online. Scheduled a phone screen pretty quickly and chatted for about 30 minutes or so. Was a little distracted as the recruiter seemed to be looking at a different screen, so it gave the impression that she was never really part of the conversation. Quick to ask about salary requirements. Said she would be closing the loop regardless but it's now been three+ weeks and I've heard nothing. Perhaps I'll get a response in a couple of months as was mentioned by another reviewer but it has certainly tainted my view of Etsy. They sound absolutely amazing to work for, and I was excited for the opportunity to interview, but ghosting for however many months before closing the loop is still ghosting. It's disappointing coming from a company that is constantly being praised for taking such care of their employees!

Question 1
Why I was looking elsewhere? What salary requirements did I have? What made me interested in Etsy?
Thank you for your feedback, though we’re of course disappointed to know you didn’t hear back from your recruiter. Etsy has recently received quite an influx of interest from candidates and for that we’re grateful. However as a result, our resources to respond quickly to each candidate have become limited. We are working to improve our internal training and extend hiring resources to bring the Etsy experience you’d expected.
