I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Eurofins (Dayton, NJ) in Apr 2023
Interview
Very poor communication. Between the job posting on Indeed, the phone screening, and the interview there was a lot of contradictory information:
- Went from a typical lab position to one focused on animal handling
- Mon-Fri, 9-5:30 schedule turned into "expected to arrive at 7am", "can't leave until all tasks are done and reported," and "required to fill in on weekends as needed with one week's notice"
- Was told I could have a week to make a decision on the job offer when asked, then suddenly pushed to make a decision within 48 hours
The manager who interviewed me seemed helpfully honest about what the job demanded, but every other step of the process came across as uncoordinated if not intentionally manipulative.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you okay with euthanizing animals? Because most of the animals we work with get euthanized.
Easy process. I got interviewed by 2 different managers and they wanted to know if I could follow directions, willing to work overtime if needed, and open to learning. I got a tour afterwards.
Polite interview. Two lab supervisors and one human resource staff member. Lasts forty five minutes and they were very friendly. They were helpful. I got the job but declined due to some personal reasons.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Eurofins (Brussels) in Apr 2025
Interview
Very nice and welcoming people. The first interview was with HR and focused on cultural fit, values, and motivation. The second was with the manager, covering technical skills, particularly analytical chemistry, teamwork, and problem-solving. Overall, it was a positive and engaging experience that gave me a good impression of the company culture and expectations.
