Interview
Completely unprofessional. In my 20+ years of work history, I have never simply been ghosted when speaking directly to a recruiter or hiring manager about a position.
I applied online. A few days later a recruiter contacted me, asked me a few questions to make sure I would be a good fit for the position and suggested some edits to my resume. After resending her my edited resume, she said she would pass it onto the team and let me know their feedback within a few days. Well, it's been about a month and a half. I called once and left a message - ignored. I emailed and asked for an update - ignored. A simple one line email stating the client wasn't interested in me for the position would have been fine and saved me the follow up call, email and wondering for weeks if I was going to get an interview. I can't imagine what would make them think it would be a smart policy to turn off potential candidates. There are other jobs that have popped up that I'm qualified for - no way I'm applying for them if this is how they treat their applicants.
