Stage 1: Multiple rounds of phone screens with company representatives utilizing a third party. This took place across two days and lasted several hours.
Stage 2: A two-hour written assessment simulating a due diligence research (DDR) report.
Stage 3: Three rounds of in-person interviews in one day at the Silver Spring, MD location.
The position was posted on Craigslist.org. The written assessment is timed and rigorous. The interviewers use a "good cop-bad cop" approach. The first interviewer is stoic, formal, and intense, attempting to intimidate the interviewee. The second interviewer is a neutral, transitional figure. The third interviewer (the head of the department) is warm and friendly.
Despite leaving the final interview with the sense that I was well-received, and being told I would hear back in a few days about their decision, the company never contacted me, nor did they offer a clear or considerate response to any of my follow-up inquiries regarding the position.
